The idea behind the Project
The main aim of the project is to establish a new research platform, called Dynamic Models in Economics; abbreviated DYME; henceforth referred to as 'the Platform'. The Platform should link Czech excellence with support for advanced research in the intersection of mathematics and economics.
Please note: This website serves for the presentation purposes of the Project working groups connected to just one participating research institution of the Platform - Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague (MFF UK). General information regarding the DYME Project can be found at the global DYME Platform site.
The main objectives of the Project
- high levels scientific production;
- connection and cooperation of researchers with similar, or complementary, interests;
- establishment of a platform for the long-term cooperation of the leading scientists working in the field which should continue long after the seven-year term of this Project expires;
- building strong research teams across the range of participating institutions with a significant engagement of young scientists;
- synergy effects in international cooperation, education, sharing of knowledge and resources;
- enabling young scientists (including Ph.D. students) to share in the research potential and foreign relations of all the participants;
- enabling young scientists to establish themselves as widely cited scientists of great renown;
- attracting promising scientists, who would otherwise work in another field (such as pure mathematics), to mathematical economics;
- attracting young scientists from abroad, who would not otherwise consider coming to the Czech Republic;
- attracting excellent Czech scientists to come back from abroad.
